Southpaw Weimaraners

Lily was our "yellow girl" from our first litter and was bold, sassy, and full of herself from the very beginning.  She was the puppy stealing birds from the other puppies so she could show them to us.  Having three dogs of our own, we just couldn't keep her!

Lily narrowly missed a perfect score on her NA test, as it was run (as we prefer) with very little training. She had never seen those funny gray chukar birds and took a few tries to settle in and point them.  What's a pup to do?!  She was the only weim at an all-GSP test and the judges were highly complementary of her, despite her snafu.  Cooperative and edgy, with great ground speed, Lily is hard working, smart, tough, and just a great girl!

She has matured into a hard hunting pup who can range out if she needs to but will stay close for a foot hunter.  She works for anyone who has a gun, and is a great natural retriever.  She inherited plenty of nose and style from her dad, who was WCA's #1 Gun Dog in 2009.  She handles like  dream, and requires little direction in the field.  Lily finished her Junior Hunter (JH) title easily, passing every leg she was entered in.  Lily is owned by Matt and Kim Dooley and lives in Roanoke.
