No silly, that's not how you hold it!

Sage at 7 months
Sage died tragically and suddenly years before her time. She was snatched from us years by an antibiotic resistant bacterium that was particularly nasty. We have learned so much from our little one, and the importance of a good vet and diagnostician is one of those lessons. There will be other dogs, but there will never be another one like our sweet Sage. She was a special soul in a gray doggie suit--we still think of her daily.
Maya may have started it all...but Sagey certainly made us a "weims forever!" family! Sage loved to give kisses and never met a stranger. For her, an open car door--anyone's--was an invitation to ride!
She was so much fun to watch in the field. She brought new meaning to the word "busy" in the field and she had a snappy run and lighting-fast ground speed. Inside, she was such a calm and sweet girl, but get her outside and she was a hunting machine! She hit her birds hard with that eye-popping pretzel style.
Sage had derby and gundog placements and was working towards her MH when she was taken from us.
Rest well, sweet Sage, and chase all the birds you can in heaven! You can even eat them if you want to!

Basking in the sun. Wow we loved this girl!
