Maya is enjoying retirement and long romps in the field.  She had one litter that produced a couple of awesome pups that we are very proud of.  What can we say about Maya?  She started it all...a dog who needed a job and whom I connected with on a visceral level.  For better or worse!

She got all her titles easily--including her NAVHDA NA the first time she saw a bird.  Now that's natural ability!!  She finished her CD by placing every time she Q'd.  She's also the ringleader and resident troublemaker at our house, but we love her all the same!

Finally back to work, we plan on getting her TD, and starting open obedience when she ever decides to coooperate. :)  Maya is a fantastic (psychotic!) retriever both on land and in the water, an enthusiastic worker after the shot, and a good all-around "bird-dawg."  Best of all, she's settled into a lovely couch potato that's ready to go whenever we are!
