We've always loved Macy's mom, JJ, and when we found out she had been bred to the 2005 National Derby and Field Futurity Winner, we couldn't say no. From that very first point Macy has captured our hearts in a big way. True to her pedigree, she is showing loads of natural ability, extreme birdiness, amazing biddability, and she isn't bad to look at, either! Macy's attitude screams "look at me!" and we hope the judges do.
Macy won 4th in an all-breed puppy stake at her first field trial...a sign of good things to come!
Macy is field pointed and was campaigned in the last half of her derby career by Steve Reynolds of Snake Breaks Kennels. She placed in almost every stake she was entered in. She finished her derby days with a Judges Award of Merit at the WCA Western Classic in a 21 dog stake and started Gun Dog off right by bringing home a blue ribbon at her third trial at a little over two years old. Her debut at the 2010 WCA National Championship showed that she's mentally tough, too, and she handled the pressure like a pro with a nice clean run.
Macy embodies what a good hunting dog should be: she has an incredible nose, the heart of a true bird dog, a busy hard-charging search, effortless movement to carry her all day afield, and superstar style on her birds.

Macy's first litter is proving that she has superstar genes, too. Her 8 puppies are young but showing great promise in the field!
